Safety is a priority in the Altea Freetrack and it comes with a family-size list of features guaranteed to keep this most primal instinct intact. Passive safety systems are installed to protect you and your passengers in the event of an accident, and the active systems are there to ensure it doesn’t happen in the first place.

Active safety
AFS stands for Adaptable Front-Lighting System – Bixenon headlights follow the rotational movements of the steering wheel, offering a wider field of vision in the curves. Should these get a little too curvy, you can rely on our Electronic Stability Program (ESP*). ESP* monitors information from the steering wheel, tyres, brakes and accelerator and uses the data to make any necessary adjustments. When you hit the pedal, the Traction Control System (TCS) ensures that not a drop of horsepower is wasted. When you need to hit the other pedal, the latest generation of ABS isn’t the only thing that you can count on. Emergency Brake Assistance (EBA) provides maximum breaking power form the shortest pedal movement.

Passive Safety
Six airbags are standard, and you also have the option of the two rear lateral airbags. The front passenger airbags can be disconnected to prevent injury to the infant. And to prevent injury to all five passengers, the three-point seatbelts are pre-tensioned – if breaking is particularly forceful a limiter is activated, easing the belt’s tension. In addition rear Isofix points mean that two child seats can be anchored directly to the chassis.
